Where you can feel your tailbone, this is our first chakra, it is associated with the color red. The color red is a strong and rich color, it represents strength, fire and vitality.

The root chakra is associated with money, sex, careers, survival and security. Feeling grounded and stable, this chakra helps keep us feeling connected to the earth.

The root chakra teaches us the spiritual lesson of the material world. The root chakra is the power base that dwells within, We can activate this power at any time. Opening the Root Chakra can be achieved, their are a few techniques and exercises that can be done to stimulate and crack the muladhara open.

The muladhara is a spinning wheel of bright red light. One simple activity that can be done, is a meditation technique, basically, using your imagination.

You want to start with some breathing exercises. Inhale through your nose, and exhale out through your mouth, do this about five times. Then close your eye's, think of a glowing red circular spinning wheel down below your navel, near the base of your spine.

Imagine that slow spinning red wheel, getting faster and faster. Circulating at high speeds, glowing red throughout the lower half of your body. Hold that thought for as long as you can.

When you can no longer hold it, release the thought take a break and close your eyes and start all over again. Do this at least ten times.

This is a great way to send a signal to your muladhara that you are trying to connect with it. Also another very easy way to activate our root chakra is by listening to Binaural beats that consist of hz. Listen daily for at least 10 min, I have included a video here in the blog for you, please listen daily.

Their are a few exercises we can do to open and stimulate the Muladhara. One is called Grounding, you want to stand straight up but stay relaxed. Spread your feet apart at shoulder length. Slightly bend your knees. Push your pelvis out forward, bring it back, all the way back and push it forward again. Remember keep your balance, keep your feet grounded firmly on the floor.

Feel grounded as you push your pelvis forward and backward. Inhale and exhale, do this fifty times, stop, catch your breath and then start again. What this exercise does is, push the spinal fluids up your spinal column. Next we want to do an exercise that will wake up the spinal cord, you want to stand up straight.

Spread your feet about 5 inches apart, and imagine you have on an over sized coat. Just let your arms hang, now swing them from side to side and inhale and exhale. This awakens the nerve endings in the spine. Allow your hands to tap the back of your spine while doing this exercise.

This releases cortisol, a stress hormone that accumulates in the body over time. Do this daily for about two to three minutes per day. I have included a video to help you visually with these exercises. Connect with your root chakra, it is very important to your lively hood here on earth.
