Game is a great shop. It sells games - funnily enough - for computers and consoles. It also sells computer consoles. The games are well priced, and there are often offers and discounted goods. The staff are very friendly and they are great with returns - as long as you ask with a smile!! There sell a good range of games for different consoles and for PC's. This shop also takes old games and will give you money for them, or vouchers or store credit or money off something else you want to buy.

The shop is located near Marks and Spencers on Princes St I am a total novice when it comes to gaming and dread going into these types of shops thinking I will be talked into alsorts as I have little understanding of what actually is good value for example. But at this branch of Game I have never experienced anything other than really friendly and helpful sales staff who have advised me brilliantly when purchasing games for my sons.

There's great sections for lower priced games for stocking fillers and new games are available here immediately. As a novice, I love this shop and find them extremely helpful. Sells video games for all game consoles whether they be the latest chart game or a couple of years old.

Chances are if you are looking for an older game ,you will find it here, and probarly at a much lower price as they sell 2nd hand traded games. I have traded in a few games here and if you trade them in against another game you will get a much better deal than if you were selling them for cash. The range 2nd hand consoles are good and they are a lot cheaper compared to new models. Game in Stockport is located on Princes Street near Marks and Spencer.

They stock hundreds of games for Xbox, Playstation2, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP and PC. Their prices are reasonable, but recently the supermarkets have had the best and cheapest prices on new releases on the major platforms such as Xbox and Playstation3. They offer a fair trade-in service where you can take your old and unwanted games and trade them in for cash or store credit to spend on other items.

They do give you a higher rate if you take store credit. They also have second hand games on most platforms and you can pick up somme great bargains.

The staff are very knowledgeable about what they sell and are very helpful.

It does get very busy around christmas. GAME used to be Electronics Boutique, and when I used to go as a kid forex guru strategy v.3 was awesome, with retro games here and there, demo kiosks for each console, aswell as a great atmosphere. Nowadays though its talking forex ransquawk very 'corporate affair' and is very business orientated.

Im not saying the Stockport store is worse or better than any of the other GAME stores - the staff seem forex simulator iphone and the store is clean and tidy - but I do think GAME's business practices are out or order. One of the most annoying things game trade in stockport GAME is their forced bundles, where if you want to buy a console that is in short supply they will only sell it to you with a bunch or rubbish games for a much higher price.

GAME also continue to buy up any oppostion and have recently bought out GameStation aswell - this is why GameStation no longer sell retro games and why their prices are almost identical - in the past you could shop between the two for the best deal but thats no longer the case.

Also, game trade in stockport trade in prices are actually pretty poor. Conevenienece wise its nice to just be able to take your old games in and come out with a nice new one, but in reality they often give you a quarter of your games true value if you were to sell it on eBay or similar.

Not specific to the Stockport store but recently it was reported that when Sainsburys were selling consoles for cheap, GAME sent their staff in to buy them bulk so that 1 their would be no stock left for the general public and 2 they could artificially create demand and charge higher prices for their consoles.

They then sold these Sainsburys bought consoles in GAME stores. This is actually against the law as the consoles would technically be 'used' once bought from another store and so wouldnt be entitled to warranty, but GAME still sold them as new Although they are physically new As you can tell im pretty fed up with GAMES practices - they dont seem to be in it for the customer anymore.: Claim this business to view business statistics, receive messages from prospective customers, and respond to reviews.
